Houston-based Venus Aerospace achieved a significant milestone by successfully conducting the first full-scale flight test of a rotating detonation rocket engine (RDRE) in the U.S. This engine, known for its fuel efficiency and lack of moving parts, was tested in a 12-foot rocket, marking a “world first” in operational deployment. The company aims to revolutionize high-speed air travel with its Stargazer M4 plane, designed to fly at four times the speed of sound.
