UK’s First Vertical Rocket Launch

The UK’s inaugural vertical rocket launch is scheduled to take place from SaxaVord Spaceport in Shetland within the year. This milestone, approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority, involves the German company Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) aiming to place the first spacecraft into orbit from British soil. The mission will deploy 136kg of small satellites and scientific equipment, marking a significant advancement for Europe’s aerospace sector.
