Uber and Lyft’s Autonomous Ride Services

Despite some public concerns, Uber and Lyft are launching driverless ride services using Waymo’s autonomous vehicles. Uber will begin offering the service in Austin, Texas, followed by Atlanta, Georgia, aiming to reduce costs and expand business. Waymo asserts that previous glitches have been addressed through software updates.
