U.S. Investigation into Tesla’s ‘Smart Summon’ Feature

U.S. regulators have initiated an investigation into 2.6 million Tesla vehicles due to crashes linked to its “Actually Smart Summon” technology, which allows drivers to command their cars remotely via a phone app. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) revealed that Tesla failed to report these incidents, despite a mandate to report accidents involving their autonomous driving technology on publicly accessible roads.
