German defense startup Helsing unveiled its unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) called the CA-1 Europa.
- The CA-1 Europa is designed for autonomous missions, swarm operations, and coordination with crewed aircraft (“wingman” roles).
- The first flight is planned in 2027, with operational capacity expected within four years.
- It weighs approximately 4 tonnes and is pitched as a lower-cost alternative to traditional fighter jets.
