Manistee’s New Public Safety Drone Program

The city of Manistee’s police and fire departments have received a $14,719.35 grant to establish a new drone program. The funding will cover the acquisition of drones, training, and necessary FAA licensing, aiming to enhance public safety through improved emergency response capabilities, such as in missing person searches and water rescues.
