ISRO’s Successful Space Docking Experiment

On January 16, 2025, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a significant milestone by successfully docking two spacecraft in orbit during the Space Docking Experiment (SpaDeX). This accomplishment positions India as the fourth nation, after the USA, Russia, and China, to master autonomous space docking. The SpaDeX mission is a precursor to future endeavors such as the Bharatiya Antariksha Station and the Gaganyaan human spaceflight missions.
