Inside the Airbus plan to cut at airports

Airbus is advancing its Optimate project, testing autonomous taxiing technology using a self-driving electric vehicle equipped with A350 cockpit elements. After 150 hours of testing, Airbus plans to trial autonomous taxiing with an A350 aircraft in 2026, aiming to reduce airport congestion and near-miss incidents.
