Another announcement from Farnborough today focuses on enabling routine autonomous flight.
Honeywell will lead a European SESAR Joint Undertaking initiative to integrate:
- piloted eVTOL aircraft,
- remotely operated cargo drones, and
- advanced air traffic management systems into European airspace.
Why it matters
Autonomous aircraft cannot scale without modern airspace management. Projects like this provide the digital infrastructure needed for high-volume autonomous operations.
