The Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) successfully recovered a U.S. Navy–sponsored Lightfishunmanned surface vessel after it completed a fully remote, transatlantic crossing.
The voyage took just over two months, beating previous records for uncrewed surface craft.
This demonstrates endurance and robustness for long-range autonomous maritime missions.
