HII is positioning Odyssey as the operating system for mixed fleets of USVs and UUVs

HII highlighted its Odyssey Autonomous Control Solutions on September 1, describing how ROMULUS surface vessels and REMUS underwater vehicles can cooperatively conduct missions such as mine reconnaissance, classification, communications relay and neutralization. Individual platforms can make thousands of navigation and mission decisions autonomously while operators retain authority over critical actions. The strategic shift is important: competition is increasingly moving from simply producing autonomous hulls toward software that coordinates heterogeneous fleets.
