Eve completed its first partial transition flight

Eve Air Mobility’s remotely piloted Eve 100 engineering prototype completed its first partial transition flight, beginning the shift from rotor-borne hover toward wing-borne forward flight. This is one of the most technically important stages in an eVTOL test campaign because it validates the aircraft’s aerodynamics, flight controls, propulsion coordination, and stability as lift transfers from the vertical rotors to the wing. 

Eve plans to progressively increase speed during testing, deactivate the lift rotors above roughly 90 kt., and achieve full wing-borne flight later in 2026. The company is targeting Brazilian certification, followed by FAA and EASA validation, in 2028. 

Why it matters: Transition flight is a major technical-risk reduction milestone and moves Eve closer to certification-focused testing with conforming aircraft.
