Commercial Lunar Landing Setbacks

Japanese startup ispace suffered another landing failure with its uncrewed “Resilience” lunar lander near Mare Frigoris on June 5, 2025. If successful, it would have marked the first non‑US commercial lunar touchdown. The mission carried a European rover and was part of ispace’s Venture Moon initiative targeting cislunar infrastructure
