A new partnership announced today brings together:
- Concordia University’s Volt-Age research program
- Volatus Aerospace
- Energy technology researchers
The collaboration will focus on:
- next-generation power systems,
- battery technologies,
- energy management, and
- extending endurance for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS).
Why it matters
Energy remains one of the biggest constraints on autonomous aviation. Improvements in power management directly translate into:
- longer ISR missions,
- greater cargo capability,
- reduced logistics burden, and
- improved military drone effectiveness.
