Barcelona has initiated trials of a driverless mini-bus developed by Renault in collaboration with WeRide. The autonomous vehicle operates on a 2.2-kilometer circular route in the city’s center, offering free rides to passengers.Equipped with 10 cameras and eight lidars, the electric bus can travel up to 120 kilometers without recharging and reaches speeds of 40 km/h. City officials report no accidents related to the experimental bus, marking a significant step toward integrating autonomous public transportation in urban settings.
