ABS Approves Autonomous Navigation Framework

The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) has granted approval in principle to Monohakobi Technology Institute’s (MTI) Action Planning and Execution System (APExS-auto). This framework is designed for the lifecycle management of autonomous navigation systems, offering flexibility to adapt to operational and design changes, marking a significant step toward standardized autonomous maritime operations.
